Father Antonious Salib

Father Antonious Salib was born Nader Youssef Salib in Alexandria, Egypt and immigrated to the U.S. in December of 1980. He graduated from New Jersey City University with a B.S. in Computer Science. In 1994, he received his Master’s in Theology from Pope Shenouda III Seminary in Jersey City, New Jersey.


Prior to being ordained, Father Antonious served at St. Mary’s Coptic Orthodox Church located in East Brunswick, New Jersey from 1982 until 2006. During this time, he acted as a youth coordinator and Sunday school coordinator. From 2006 until 2009, he served at St. Mina’s Church in Holmdel, New Jersey while working full time at PNB Paribas as information security specialist.


On June 7th, 2009, he was ordained at the hand of His Holiness Pope Shenouda III at St. Mark Cathedral in Cairo, Egypt for service at the newly established St. Mary and St. Kyrillos Coptic Orthodox church in Hatfield, Pennsylvania. He was given the fatherly name of Father Antonious Salib. Father Antonious celebrated his first liturgy in the church on July, 25th 2009. May God continue to bless his service.
